A simple & elegant calculator to figure out your fuel tax credits and print for your records.
This project attempts to provide a Fuel Tax Credit calculator which addresses some of the limitations and shortfalls of the one offered on the ATO website. Calculating your Fuel Tax Credits can be complex and prone to errors. This calculator simplifies the process and provides a record you can refer back to.
Fill out the relevant fields and hit the "Show Results" button. Then, you should probably print to pdf to save a record of the calculation.
You can include purchases for multiple periods in the same calculation, the results will be split according to the selected BAS cycle.
Additional information about Fuel Tax Credits, and what usages might be eligible for inclusion here, is available from the ATO website.
All calculations occur within your browser, so none of the information you input here is sent to our server.
Like most websites, we use cookies and browser storage to store some simple preferences, and analytics to keep track of how many visitors we have.
While every effort is made to ensure reliability and accuracy of results, the results are offered without warranty of any kind and it remains the user's responsibility to ensure amounts reported to the ATO are free from misstatement.
New here? Look at some example data to see how it works.
If you already have your fuel purchases in a spreadsheet (or maybe your bookkeeping software can export to a spreadsheet) then pasting data into the calculator is going to make things a lot easier.
Create the columns as shown below, copy the rows (leave the headings), click the "paste" button in the options panel below, and paste in the data.
